Happy 2024! Here are some favorite small things from January.

Clip-on Book Light

Love this light that has three different settings (warm, cool, neutral); it clips to your book and bends to your liking.

Microfiber Duster

In 2007, I discovered Fly Lady and learned how to fly (clean). I’ve re-found her recently and decided to buy my first duster.

Wow. Dusting is so much easier with a duster.

I didn’t buy Fly Lady’s — hers has real feathers — but found this one by OXO. The orange pad snaps off and goes right in the washing machine.

I went crazy.

From the tops of doors to the bottoms of base boards.

Now, my whole house has no dust. Testifly!

Unrefrigerated Peanut Butter

All these years, I’ve been wrestling with refrigerated peanut butter. This month, I learned I don’t have to refrigerate it.

Big Wrench

I love examining the tools in Home Depot, then walking through the store to find my husband to ask, Can we get this?

Purple Shoes

I lusted after these purple shoes for some time but figured I should buy them in a more conventional color.

I got the purple. 🙂

I Bloomed Two Orchids

The big one is Greta; the small one, Juliette. Both have been with us for a year, lost all their flowers, grew new stalks, and flowered again. I never thought I could do it.

New Bookstore

What a treat. A brand new Barnes & Noble a few towns over. And it’s busy. It’s so nice to see. I remember when I used to think Barnes & Noble was like Starbucks. Now, I’m just happy to see a bookstore at all.

A divine sound and feel. Listen.

I’m pretty sure it’s “self-care.”
