Buy a Basil Plant!

Buy a basil plant and forego the bunch! We bought one at the beginning of the summer because it was all the store had. Now I’m never going back to the bunch.

Weeks later, the plant is still going strong, producing small leaves that can be used in caprese salads, pasta sauces, and pesto.

Simply pinch off the leaves that you want to use, and give the plant some water when it looks wilted.

Not only are basil plants cost-effective (only $5.99 for an entire summer of herbs!), the herb seems to taste better when it’s grown in your own kitchen. 🙂
