Rumpled, floppy bistro napkins. I use them every day.
I love how they look all piled up in the kitchen cabinet, smooshed together. I also love how they feel at the dinner table.
The first time I smeared food on them, it felt awkward and uncomfortable. I felt like I was defacing my property.
But then off to the wash they went, emerging clean, fragrant, and satisfyingly wrinkled.
Folding bistro napkins is a joy, too. No sleeves to fuss with. No elastic corners to tuck. Just nice, simple rectangles amenable to four quick folds.
Might you add some small things to your day?
